Sonnet 2
Winter was upon me and had brought pain
And my old feelings of her were of late.
This topic could not be up for debate.
I had held her with the greatest disdain.
However, this never brought me gain.
Any change in my emotional state,
Always thinking it would be too late.
Will I become emotionally sane?
The spring was here and gladly I am calm,
But it’s due to this new girl in my life.
I had fallen into her soft, sweet palm
Both us always in our constant strife
But she still had held me close in her palm
And one day she will be my loving wife.
