Love's Hand
I have many things in my life that I love
But for some reason I have to remark,
“Family, friends, and all of the above;
Are they really enough, or am I in the dark?”
My friends that have loves tell me “Eventually
Cupid will strike someone with an arrow.”
That someone out there is just waiting for me.
“But when will this be? I’m impatient you know.”
Friends whom are loveless all want debate,
“What is required to find love these days?”
“Is it your beauty, your humor, your weight?”
“Is it a sick joke the fates like to play?”
Although my luck has been far from quite grand,
I hold hope one day love will reach out its hand.
