The Ocean's Shore
Liquid concrete the color of neglected pennies
Rise and dip in impossible little waves
With empty tidepools of crystal sea
Warm and stagnent in it’s hole they stay
Past them now, where the sand grows back
With torture from the monstrous tide
Rocketing forwards comes thin water, then back
A push and pull uncorrupted by time
Running out where the sand never breathes
Never under my knees or over my thigh
I watch the ocean for hours, then receed
Back to soft, dry sand where I now lie
A simple trip to the ocean’s shore
To clear the mind and nothing more
