War of a Soul


There is a war that is raging inside of me
Maybe if I cry, it will all go away
Nothing in this world will let it go today
Surely, the light will one day be
I just have to hold on to see
That life goes on when God’s there to stay
Satan shall run, his plans at bay
God will comfort my cry of plea
The darkness will come stop coming to visit
Hope finds itself free from chains again
Peace comes in overflowing abundance brightly lit
The pain searches for where to start and begin
However, it gets lost in the light for a little bit
And God is there, and there is no more sin
