I am something that im not
my family are something that they're not

my family portrait is something that we were,
we were happy,now were not
dad you left mom with no clothes,
no money, stranded in a parking lot Why?

Mom I tried to tell dad no don't go
you didn't mean those words you said
he told me it wasn't my fault
it's just that mommy made him mad

Night after night yall fight
this is not right
this is not what a family suppose to do

On tv mom and dad always says i love you
in my home my mom and dad yells i hate you

Day after day mom throws glass on the floor
and dad gets angry and storms out the door

Why can't it go back to the old days
why can't you and mom go back to yall old ways

In court me and my brother are at two different ends
Im with mom he's with dad
moms crying dad's very mad

I only see my brother two times a week
mom wants him to stay over another week
but she knows dad will say no
so she kisses him on the cheek

I guess I have sadness on my forehead
because of the changes in my family portrait
