Uniquely, Imperfectly Perfect (A Shakespearean Sonnet)
Amazing friends have come on in my life,
But you stand out from all them, easily.
And suddenly, there is much less of strife;
It's clear for me and clear for you to see.
You do, and what I order of myself--
And what I want--is to repay to you
What you have made me feel, this to yourself,
If possible it is for me to do.
Wit, humor, brains, and thoughtfulness you show,
And love to all; you put yourself in last,
Unselfish, yes, the calmest one I know,
And over me your eyes have never passed.
Sometimes misunderstood, but not by me;
I see the beauty others do not see.
