Stressed and Pressured
The walls are falling down around my face,
Revealing what I'm hiding in my mind;
No longer can I find a single place
Where pressure, stress, and anguish I can't find.
I run from one thing--or I handle it--
But then, before I know, another comes,
'Til suddenly, I'm driven to a fit,
My troubles beating down like heartless drums.
Too many actors playing in this skit,
Too many people I've had to become,
Life's wearing me exhausted to the bone,
And "opportunities" take my last bit
Of energy to give; my soul is numb--
I'm left to go insane here all alone.
