Sonnet to Anemoi
Your wind, it whispers whispers in my ear,
The unseen whisper’s breathing chills me down.
And wraps around me tightly, voice so near,
With leaves above that form an empathy crown.
Your winds, they comfort me all through this night,
When I sojourn he who won’t live his years.
On him Eileithyia will not shed light,
And with you Anemoi I shed my tears.
O, damn Thanatus ripping out my heart!
When Boreas bore me a boy so sweet,
And Thanatus tore me and him apart,
And Noah’s soul in the wind’s to retreat.
And now goodbye to Anemoi my love,
This knife – a death – into my heart I shove.
