Favorite Quote:
To wish to be someone else is to waste the person you are.

The Noise of silence taunts my hearing drums
Nothing noble said yet much do they speak
So great their potential and vast their sums
Yet somehow from their mouths this nonsense reeks

Maybe I’m clueless- have I right to talk?
“Antisocial”, they say, “Who’s he to judge?
Not by norms of society he walks
But rather cowers, whines, and holds his grudge.”

No use denying- they’ve made up their minds
Condemned by ignorance- misunderstood
So strong their opinions, but yet so blind
Not this soon will they take my livelihood

Ready not am I to confess these thoughts
But powerless am I- they’re all I’ve got

The author's comments:
The whole "Prophet" thing isn't meant to sound blasphemous. Two years ago, my theology teacher presented my class with a lesson on Prophets (True Prophets). During that lesson, my teacher discussed the characteristics of a prophet- a person who preaches and practices righteousness, and is (most of the time) persecuted because of that. Honest to God- one of the best classes I've ever sat through.
