Hope In Darkness
Wandering through the desolate,lone road
Thinking of a distant hope and bright light
Wondering when to unburden this load
My evident broken heart is at sight
I hold this sadness to be surely true
I ponder, can I take this anymore?
My heart must be lifted as if on cue
This isn't like fairy tales of old lore.
There is a slight hope that will truly shine
A shine that comes from the eyes of a friend
He is always there, that true friend of mine
When I am like this, he my heart will mend.
I am now reminded to have no fear
That true friend could not have made this more clear.
