Dear Summer,Love Maggie
As I think about long nights down the shore.
I recall the ocean smell in my hair.
I realize that last summer is no more.
Smells of the shore are not in the air.
My feet long the days when i wore flip-flops.
I miss when the skies were clear and bright blue.
Times when my back tans from wearing tank tops.
Tanning on the beach is long overdue.
Wooden planks extend for a thousand miles.
Waves sweep up and down the windy coast.
Rides are lined with people standing in aisles.
Life guards are standing alert at their posts.
I miss the feeling of sleeping till noon.
Dear long lost summer, please visit soon.
