The World Around Me
Lying upon this grass, this field.
Life shining in front of my face.
I begin to think the world is my shield.
How could I hate such a marvelous place?
Birds whistle and sing my name.
Leaves rustle and fly with the wind.
All I feel is peace, no sorrow or shame.
Multiple colors surround me and bend.
I feel as one with the world as it spins.
My body is sinking down in the grass.
Good is at last present, no bad, no sins.
Time goes by, but I refuse to let it pass.
Outside is my home, the lock to my key.
Nothing can compare to this world around me.
