Pearl Harbor
On the bombing of Pearl Harbor,
america wretched and cried.
and the Japanese who vainly martyred,
were cheerful that we died.
They sent their sly-winged planes,
and crept up behind our backs.
As we saw our citizens slain,
we wouldn’t cut them slack.
The ocean water was colored red,
the dock was blown to pieces.
The air smelled of the dead,
and of all the lonely faces.
Three ships would never sail,
the Arizona, Utah, and Oklahoma.
All thanks to this murderous travail,
brought on by a senseless carcinoma.
America will forever remember,
this day when time stood still.
The day on the seventh of December,
when we realized what we must fulfill.
