Ode to AutoCorrect MAG
(Original)
Who pauses to think about what they write
When they can type faster than they can think?
A pen's weight doesn't remind of words' might;
They can't feel the permanence of e-ink.
Communication is measured in speed,
Value, beauty, and greetings forgotten.
Lines upon lines of words spewed without heed,
No glance to see whether they're miswrotten.
Our proofreading entrusted to programs
Who've no idea what was meant to be said,
Conversations are revised into shams,
And messages are better off unread.
Tools meant to facilitate and correct
Communication lead to disconnect.
(AutoCorrect Interpretation)
Who paid to think about what they wrote
When they've cab type faster than thy can thin?
A pens wright downstream rind of words might;
They can't feel the permanent of rink.
Community is measured in sped
Value, neat, and greetings forgotten.
Lines upon lines of words speed without her
No glance to see whether thurs miswritten.
Our proofreader entrusted to program
Who've no idea what was meant to be Sid,
Conversations are revised into Shans,
And messages are getter off unread.
Tools meant to facility and correct
Community lead to disconnect.
