Home Bound
Green wheels that chase the path of the street
The wind cold and rough against my face
The consistent rhythm of my peddling feet
My eyes trembling with this speedy pace
My body leans with that of the board
Pores open and mind carefree
The balance I’ve found, locked tight in my core
The utter essence of urban beauty
As I lean to turn right, I feel the trust
Wheels scraping against the bumpy road
I am one with the board, for with every thrust
Engulfs my mind into a content mode
My skateboard, my wheels, my feet, my control
Getting me closer to a place I call home
