Desire for a Child
Is it wrong?
for youth to desire
The baring of another?
Of innocence.
She prays upon a name—
not god—
of Gabriel,
to be submerged
in a tub abundant with
venoms of transgression.
Voices and eyes
of the village
loath her passions,
Her desires,
akin to ailing rodents.
By wronging her dreams.
Partisans of her very God.
Mother yearning,
“Accelerate time.”
Her emotions fall,
fail flight.
“Where is he?”
She calls.
Not God.
Of her own
lacks support,
But who would?
Of such maturity…
Disappointment is the
finest one can receive.
