My Angel's Song
What tree God blest to be so deserving
Of the tune which under her fingers flow
Into its hollow wood that is serving
Her voice, which has dedicated a show
To the girl in the rafters of the church
Surrounded by the choir, whose image
Lucifer covets so, that he should lurch
Within her art leading a pilgrimage,
But harmony on his tainted path found
The two voices in their righteous accord
With the heavens plans which together bound
The girls’ hearts forever pleasing the lord
In their double rainbow among the clouds
Descending angels in true colors proud
