A Recipe for Disaster
How to break my heart, it's not too hard to do.
It's as easy as pie, or tieing a shoe.
First you lead me on, but I do not know this.
Only you can see the truth, that lays out in the distance.
We are happy for awhile, and we sing to all the songs,
but who really knows if this will last long.
I hope for the best, and pray for a change,
when I see that you're not acting the same way.
The day has come, and the end is near.
Inside me, the only thing I feel is fear.
Fear of heartbreak, and fear of sorrow.
When you walk away, I know there is no hope for tomorrow.
So you did your deed, your sneaky little task.
But how I am doing is something you will never ask.
I remember the days, the weeks, then months.
All these memories come flooding back to me at once.
I will be okay, I will be just fine.
I now reveal a new thought that is growing inside my mind.
I can be happy, and I will be soon,
much happier than the day that you broke my heart in two.
