Red Sonnet
She is red with an orange sun middle,
Like rustic fire she burns in my hands.
Humming out melodies and a riddle,
She knows how hard it is, she understands.
Amongst all the others I just saw you,
Bright and beautiful, to my mind you say,
Don’t underestimate what I can do,
I will pick you up and show you the way.
We started our story quickly at first,
Always together our hands beat in time.
Suddenly words follow me like I’m cursed,
And melodies fall out like no one’s crime.
Should I keep things as they should be and are?
It is only me and my red guitar.
