Blinded by Heart
Within the throes of incrimination,
By one's infidelity to speak true,
Let this not defect me to trust illusion,
But I wish there be in that wrought light two,
I cry out sonorous song in your name,
Weave word and note into soulful passion,
Wring my heart with a noose I have obtained,
From days and days of halting affection,
But under the profound blackness of night,
Bereft of warmth from all and you, my dear,
My soul is challenged by doubt's freezing plight,
Whisp'ring treason of what my love does rear,
Meaningless hope renders no solid road,
Rest not in dreams that I alone have sowed
