Baby Boy
Alone in the night, she closes her eyes
Her body shakes as she exhales a breath
Tears tackle her cheeks and it's no surprise
That her mind is paused on her baby's death
The cancer cells became too much
All bones in his body were filled with pain
His paling skin would bruise from every touch
A safe recovery, he could not gain
He died with no ability to talk
Never having the chance to say goodbye
He died with no ability to walk
For all he could do was lay there and cry
His life was ended a year from his birth
Placed in a coffin and taken from earth
