Journey Within
I never knew what lies beneath the skin
Not blood or veins I realize 'tis not
I can not see what lies under therein
Like pealing back the layers of a plot
And getting to the layers underneath
You encounter things better left unseen
So then you take your sword as to unsheathe
To slay the horrid creature, wretched being
Peer close into it's eyes is what you do
And lift the veil that covers it's true form
You realize the beast is truly you
And so ensues a violent inner storm
And when the storm has fine'ly met its end
You still have much to do and much to mend
