Becoming New
My eyes aren’t filled with the excitement they once had
Your actions speaker louder than words and they’re still speaking
I’m never like this I’m never the one that’s sad
Maybe this is what I need, there’s room for self-seeking
I’m getting stronger; I’m a person that I never knew
I’m not alone; confidence is now standing in my corner
I can do this I can see my way through
I’ve changed I don’t cry like a mourner about you
A new love has come to me and I hesitate
Questions swirl around in my mind; questions are missing answers.
There seems to be no way that I can negotiate
These feelings move around as if they’re a talented dancer’s
I am strong in many different ways and getting stronger
I am not the same, I am becoming someone new
