Summer Haze
Smiles drift upon our lips as we kiss,
Summer's dreamy warmth beneath trees of elm,
Endless embraces are that of sheer bliss,
Fluttering passion could not overwhelm.
Two figures entangled, a sweet protest,
Our desire was our youthful vice,
As we carelessly caress, coalesce,
Repetitious in manner, acting over thrice.
Though the experience always sublime,
And between us is seemed there was no seam,
Unaware we were of the hands of time,
And the unintentional drift downstream.
Aa decadent unravel so seamless,
As fall stripped the leaves and left us with less.
