"There Your Heart Will Be Also"
you went away and left the world behind
I wondered how I could come follow you
but you had left no trace for me to find
as if you knew before what I would do
I asked the sparrows if they saw your flight
they said where you had gone no wings had flown
so there I climbed the soaring mountains high
and found my searching self was all alone
I called to you, you did not answer me
the wretched winds but moaned your requiem
I cried to you, my tears you did not see
the pouring rains but drummed your plaintive psalm
in humbleness, I see you went away--
was not for naught that I was left to stay
