“...And these children
that you spit on
as they try to change their worlds
are immune to your consultations.
They're quite aware
of what they're going through...”
- David Bowie

Flames are chained to sovereignty of machines
Remnants of flames’ autonomy lay extraneous
The reigning era of all fifteens
Cacophony of sounds often contemporaneous

Too rash to swear by, too far done and unheeded
The pillars of fire grew dull, subordinating to machine
Contact well desired, the gray devil preceded
The world we know, not needed as the supreme reign of screen

She dared, defeated by the relentless dictator
Flames flickering cannot withstand
Overbearing crowds of darkness, reserve power much greater
A glimmer of a candle in the masses of Black hands

Whilst anarchy consumed over land
The final hour came at hand
