Battersea Sonnet I
It turns out your my entire world,
And the gypsy moon smiles
Because he knows, at last,
That I'm happy tonight.
O, a light so caring
How it caresses me,
And how it falls on the face
Of the branchless tree.
If you're everything I desire
And everything that I needed,
Tell me now.
Because, when all is said and done
there are benches in Battersea
with the names of eternal love.
