Love Changed
When beautiful bells toll, some may feel bliss
Some may feel the same at a wondrous sight.
I must disagree, for bliss is one kiss,
from you.. Lacking that, I would lose life’s fight.
When water falls, some find peace in the scene.
But the only scene for me is your face.
A smile, oh so bright, to make me serene.
Eyes shine like beacons, calling my embrace.
When I saw you out in this cruel, cruel world,
I knew we were touched by the hand of fate.
You were on the street, and your hair was curled.
I ran too you and professed love too late.
‘Twas mutual, but what you did not know.
Love changed when I heard you sing like a crow.
