Dedicated To My Stepbrothers
Do you ever think of us?
Do we ever cross your mind?
Not even a simple goodbye,
You just left us all behind.
But you came back for a visit,
And not for your family.
You came for your friends,
Completely disregarding me.
I recall what a wreck I was,
When I saw you on your birthday.
I was hoping you’d realize how much I need you,
I was trusting you would stay.
I recall driving out of the park,
Watching as you quickly fade,
I wanted to say I love you two,
But my words were too delayed.
So now I sit here in this desk,
Wondering where you went.
But most of all, I’m wondering,
If all our time together has been spent.
