It’s the spark of new life,
The chance to start over,
The opportunity to end strife,
And is a beginning moreover
Today gives us new hope,
It signals the rebirth,
And tells us to cope,
And shows us our worth
Jesus died on the cross for us
This day we celebrate for him
It teaches us not to make a fuss,
But to praise and rejoice in hymn
This Easter day,
Is jolly and gay.
