What a Race
I step up to the line
high-fives for everyone
It's my time to shine
I wait to hear the shot of the gun
It's an all out sprint to the front
dry mouths already so people cough
with every move, I hear a grunt
The girl I just passed tried to catch up but then she layed off
People lined along the course
screaming to kick it in gear and go
By no I feel like a weak work horse
but I give it all I've got, it's time to put on a show
There's the finish and all I see
is a red string waiting to be broken by me
