Colorless and Lonley
The beauty that is summer dies quickly.
Green turns to brown, the sun no longer shines.
Grey skies, few flowers, ground not seen clearly.
Air is crisp, ground is cold, wind blows porch chimes.
Rain falls leaving the ground wet and soggy,
leaving footprints that are noticed for days.
The street is hard to see, roads so foggy,
traffic has stopped due to so many delays.
Bright turns to dull, colorless and lonely.
People sat inside, stuffed up and cozy.
Fires and films, tea and cookies, if only
warmth came back, we would all be rosy.
Time will pass and outside will be lovely.
Patience is the key, summer is coming.
