Deep In The City
I’m terrified I will never find my way back
A wallet with no money, a phone with no numbers
No place where I can lay my head to slumber
Criminals bound to rob you and attack
Good people is what the earth lacks
Winter is all I have, what is summer?
On this ground I just wonder
Bad feelings I seem to attract
I don’t have a home anymore
On these infinite streets, I’m all alone
There’s nothing I have left but the ache in my bones
Hoping every moment someone will let me in their door
Hoping I won’t wake up washing off the shore
But I’ll be okay, because I’m going to find you
