The Breakup
As long as our kindled fire stays alive,
Until the day that we will part our ways,
I promise you that we can still survive,
For on that day our first love will decay.
As the season changes and time goes on,
Winter has started coming near to hear,
The sweet summer heat is now all gone,
Has passed us by without one tear.
And so as we look at each changing page,
So we look and stare and wonder why,
For our hearts locked up with intense rage,
With only one thing left to satisfy.
Left with only words to intensify,
I know it won’t help, but I’ll say Goodby.
