Lost and Never Found
Something I could never fathom is near,
It’s the fact that I knew that we could thrive.
Your light has left me in this darkness here,
The emptiness inside eats me alive.
I’ll be waiting here if you want to try,
Even though I know I’m not worth your time.
What I believed to be me was a lie.
I’m losing everything that was once mine.
The guilt is like a thorn inside my chest,
Always stabbing my heart, making me bleed.
“Soon enough, this will be okay,” I guessed.
Your forgiveness is really all I need.
We will find a way back to each other,
Only through time, one way or another.
