The Long Road
No one talks about the grey in the world,
or how it always strays from black and white
The way it travels through thoughts like a breeze
How it’s blurry like a steam covered word
No one remembers those who dared to flee;
those who question motive and narrative
Even though running takes away your breath
Courage comes knowing when to turn your back
There’s nothing wrong with always turning left
So what, all the others run a few laps?
In the end you may be the only friend
Others find their end due to stubbornness
The long road will always be their to bend
Just know, constantly exhibit kindness
