Where I'm From
Babbolbees. The name I recieved young.
Decades since that nickname truly uttered,
since then a label fresh from Mother’s tongue…
Loud and proud, never quietly muttered.
Babbs. The name I now familiarize with.t
Short is it, and not of significance.
Babbs for Natalie, it’s like Dan for Smith.
For my mother there is no difference.
Origination with my brother’s speech.
N’s, toilsome, a challenge for him to speak.
A nickname from Mother, distinct for each...
Just the unique name for me she did seek.
For it forever stays my mother’s part…
Therefore love and affection fills my heart.
