Goodnight Sunlight
Goodnight sunlight, say hello lonely moon.
The dark night when angels fall and stars burst
I asked why you wanted to leave so soon
Through the rain, you swore the night is cursed
While you ran through the garden, I retained
I recalled the day we spent together
I won't think of you, but I can't abstain
It's not my fault you left, it's the weather
I miss your eyes the way they looked alive
Thinking of your photograph twists the knife
The melodies in your laugh that surprise
The thought of you brings fire to life
The night has passed and my thoughts are set free
Goodnight lonely moon, say hello sunlight
