King Arthur’s Beginnings
A man named Merlin had enchanted a sword,
Excalibur, the sword which all had forgotten,
Happened to be drawn by an act of discord
Once Arthur pulled the sword, destiny he could not ignore
He became the king of England, just as written,
But how he got it, we should explore
His arrogant foster brother Kaye, who had smitten
Arthur for this without forgiveness,
Had forgotten his sword due to omission
Arthur had to get the sword all due to unfairness
A boy as young as him should have been reminded!
But Arthur got it anyway, out of his own forgiveness
Arthur trekked home, but would be reminded
That the door was locked so he could not find it
Arthur hastily took his last option
The sword all mankind had forgotten
Excalibur

This is a poem about the story behind Arthur drawing Excalibur. I had to make a poem in school about him, so this is what I chose.
