Remembering This
“Remembering This”
by Madeleine Richey
In this piece of writing “I Remember This” by Madeleine Richey and she is remembering the awful moment when Osama Bin Laden bombed the Twin Towers on 9/11. She was not caught in the tragedy, but she is remembering her family watching the incident.
This piece caught my attention because I also look back to the moment of 9/11. Like Madeleine I did not understand because I was so little. Now that I am older, I realize what a horrible, horrible thing a person would do. So now, I just look back and try to remember how all the people thought, being in the moment and the people who lost their loved ones.
I think Madeleine did a spectacular job of describing the tragedy she on her television screen and how upsetting it was for everyone to watch and witness that awful time.
This piece of writing changed how I look back and think to myself on how I think of 9/11-not just people who passed away and the towers that were bombed, but a whole lot of memories were scarred and shattered, and their hearts were crushed.
