The house on Mango Street is a 1984 coming of age novel by Mexican American writer Sandra Cisneros.  It doesn’t have Esperanza Coronado, young Latina girl, and her life growing up in Chicago with chicanos and Puerto Rican’s. Esperanza  Coronado. Is the heart and soul of the story she’s our protagonist and narrator,  and the person who develops and changes the most overall.  Sally the most notable thing about Sally is that she’s a bombshell. She’s a gorgeous girl that all the boys at school talk about in the locker room. She’s got eyes like Cleopatra. Nenny Coronado, Esperanza’s kids sister. Too Young to get Esperanza’s jokes or keep her secrets, Nenny is more of a pain in the butt than anything else.  Mama and papa, it’s clear from here description of her parents as Esperanza’s feels a lot of affection for them.  Alicia, Alicia is it a girl in the neighborhood who studies at the University. Alicia‘s mother died, and Alicia‘s for steak up many of the chores that her mama used to do.  Carlos and keeky Cordero, Esperanza doesn’t say much about her little brothers, Carlos and Keeky, expect that they follow the supreme law against fraternizing with children of the opposite sex.Cathy,  Kathy is a big snap. She be friends as Esperanza that when the cordero  Family moved to mango’s Street, but tells her their friendship will be short-lived. Lucy and Rachel,  Esperanza meet Lucy and Rachel shortly after moving into the house on Mango Street. This is just quickly become Esperanza  constant companions.Aunt Lupe, Esperanza’s Aunt Lupe  used to be beautiful like John Crawford, until she was struck down by mysterious disease that left her bed ridden and blind.Meme Ortiz, Meme Ortiz Is the new kid on the block. His name is Juan, but he goes by meme. Just like meme, his dog has two names one in English, and one in Spanish. Minerva is girl not much older than Esperanza, but she’s already married and has two kids. Minerva  and Esperanza hang out and read each other‘s poetry.  Sire, Cyrus the first boy who is there’s a Esperanza and the way the boys that Marti sires the first boy who is there’s a Esperanza and the way that boys that Marin.
