Wings of Fire the Hive Queen
Wings of Fire the Hive Queen. It’s about a hivewing (dragon) named Cricket. In the book, Cricket found out that Blue’s (silkwing) sister was blown away in the wind. Then a little later in the book blue comes out of his cocoon and is devastated that his sister was blown away in the wind. then they travel to Jewel Hive where they meet Cricket’s sister and Queen Wasp’s mother at Cricket’s mom’s house where she used to go when she spent time over at her mom’s house when her mom moved out. A little later they get put in jail by guards, they escaped by using blue’s flamesilk to get through the ground, then they run into Queen Jewel. A little later in the book Sundew (leafwing), Cricket, and Blue go to the Wasp Hive to try to find a secret group of silkwings called the chrysalis who hate Queen Wasp but love the leafwings. Then they plan on stealing the Book of Clearsight. Then they try to escape when they get the book. Then they try to figure out how Queen Wasp mind controls all the hivewings. She goes to the hatchery and takes an orphan that hasn’t gotten mind control stuff put inside the egg yet. Then she tries to leave but almost runs into queen wasp. Later in the book they see a big plume of smoke coming from one of the Hives.
What I felt about the book was that I love that all the characters are dragons and I love the storyline and how sutherland has a backstory for all the dragons. This was the first book series I have ever read. I would recommend this to anyone who likes dragon’s.
