Stargirl
I read the book called "Stargirl" by Jerry Spinelli just recently and I loved it. It related to things that actually happen to us in school. It is about a girl named Sargirl. She is not just like everyone else or "part of the crowd". She is different. She dresses differently. For example, she does not wear jeans and t - shirts, she would wear things like long skirts. She also plays her ukulele everyday at lunch and sing to people when it is their birthday. It also tells the story of Leo, a boy attending that school, he and Stargirl start going out but everyone starts turning on Stargirl and starting not to like her anymore. Even Leo, who had liked her for being different, starts to wish she was normal. In the end, Stargirl gains back everyones respect but ends up moving away. I really enjoyed this book and if you would like to read something that might relate to you but is different at the same time, this is the book i would recommend for you to read!
