Abandon by Meg Cabot
Abandon by Meg Cabot navigates around modern-day Persephone, a girl named Pierce. Pierce isn't just your ordinary, average girl. Pierce died. And then she came back.
During her time in the Underworld, she accidentally agrees to be the death deity's goddess. She has escaped and tried to live a normal life. But she can't. A boy follows her and protects her from trouble. But Pierce isn't scared of him. In fact-she may be falling for him.
As she finally meets some friends, she starts feeling better. But Pierce just can't stop thinking about him.
In this 304 page book, she learns that things aren't always what they seem. The sequel to Abandon is Underworld. Book 3 will be coming out in Spring 2013.
