Role Models is a comedy revolving around two guys who work for an energy drink company. The two main characters, Danny and Wheeler, who are two relatively young guys, go to school from school, telling kids that they shouldn't do drugs. They inform kids that they should instead drink a "Minotaur," which happens to be a sports drink with so many chemicals that it isn't even good for kids. Because Danny is fed up with his life and his job, he ends up going on a rampage and states all of his brutally honest opinions during one of his speeches to an audience filled with kids. Instead, of trying to fix his situation, Danny continues to let his rage get the better of him, and he goes with Wheeler and the duo ends up trashing a company truck, resulting in them being given the choice of going to jail or doing community service with a mentoring program. Thinking that the community service is the easier choice, the two friends find themselves being paired with a teenager dealing with the issues that come naturally with adolescence and a sailor-mouthed fifth-grader.

While the movie appears to be just an ordinary comedy, the movie is actually heart-warming, witty, carefully-planned, and manages to surpass any and all previous expectations. Even though there's a fair amount of explicit content and foul language, the movie hints at bigger issues and becomes one of the better comedies out there, as well as laugh-out-loud fun. The movie combines together a typical beginning with a solid middle and an exceptionally enjoyable ending to create a movie that's very fun to watch. Paul Rudd plays up to his role and then some, and the exact same can be said about all of the main characters, including Seann William Scott, Bobb'e J. Thompson, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

The ending to the movie is exceptionally enticing and manages to tie the entire movie together in a fun, lovable manner. The movie elucidates real life themes and truly shows the influence that a parent can have on a child's life. Although parts of the movie are slightly predictable, and the plot is slightly formulaic, the movie does provide a few good surprises here and there. Instead of being just a typical comedy with a dumb plot, the creative idea helps to morph into a marvelous movie while combining a talented cast with a plot that proves to be exceptionally funny. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie a fair 78%, and an impressive 87% of Google users liked the movie. Role Models is a comedy that is one of the better ones out there and is absolutely worth watching.
