Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

Guardians of the Galaxy volume Two is an amazing work of art. The story follows a group of friends which includes Peter quill A.K.A. Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, baby Groot, and eventually Mantis. Star Lord is a half human, half unknown origin. He was born on earth but was abducted by Yondu. Gamora is a green alien, the adopted daughter of Thanos and the last of her species. Drax is an interesting beast of unknown origin whom the group met in jail during the first movie. Rocket is a racoon-like creature, the result of a scientific experiment. Baby Groot is a little tree which woody arms and legs who only knows three words "I am Groot" specifically in that order. He is the outcome of a heroic act by his past self during the first movie and lastly, Mantis. She has the powers of telekinesis. She touches anyone and can feel their emotions and read their mind. She can also slightly influence people's emotions for a limited amount of time.

The movie starts with the most adorable action scene you could ask for. The heroes are hired by a powerful alien race, The Sovereign, to protect some priceless batteries from an alien monster. Rocket decides to set up music and as they fight the monster in the background you get to watch baby Groot dance around while chasing butterflies and fighting mini monsters. Once the monster is defeated Rocket decides it's a good idea to steal some of The Sovereigns precious batteries. They send an army of troops to attack and kill the guardians. In their quest to escape the mystery of Peters parentage is revealed.

The main complaint about the second Guardians of the Galaxy is that the beginning doesn't really have anything to do with the main plot of the movie. Although its entertaining and they find a way to go back to it later in the movie its irrelevant. Another complaint is that there's too much information in too little time

All in all, it's a great movie and i highly recommend it if you're a Marvel fan or just looking for a good action movie. A lot of people thoroughly enjoyed it, it got a whopping 82% on rotten tomatoes. It's a great family friendly movie and has some jokes for the adults. I hope you consider going to see it, you won't regret it
