Netflix released in 2018 a movie called ¨To all the Boys I have loved before.¨ It's heartfelt, critically acclaimed, and a teen comedy romance. This was a book first published by Jenny Han in 2014. It shows what happens when your little sister gets ahold of your love letters. Although they may have been old and just little crushes, the letters had already shipped. Leaving Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor) to figure out what she's going to do. It may be 1 hour and 39 minutes but it's definitely worth your time.

Lara Jean is a smart, Korean-American girl, who loves romance books. After her sister left for college, Lara Jean is left to fend for herself in her junior year of high school. After bonding time with her little sister, Kitty (Anna Cathcart), Lara Jean´s younger sister. Kitty found it in her own interest to make her sister´s life more interesting. The next scene shows Peter Kovinsky (Noah Centineo) telling Lara Jean, while he's holding her love letter, that he is ¨flattered but its never gonna happen.¨ From that point on Lara Jean knew that her love letters had been sent out. In the end, Lara Jean and Peter team up creating a fake relationship that benefits them both. But maybe this ¨fake¨ relationship isn't so fake after all.

This movie created a lot of attraction on social media. Everyone wanted a ¨Peter Kovinsky¨, but it was mainly because of how he treated people. He was so expressive with his emotions throughout the movie. There were many examples of him caring, sticking up for people, and being expressive about how he feels. Which leads me to talk about Lara Condor and how she knew it was her chance to get casted when they were specifically looking for a Korean-American actress. She also talked about in an interview how she sees a change in Hollywood and that there's more diversity within movies. Overall this movie greatly impacted social media, but in the best way possible.

The beginning of the movie is very critical to all of the characters development, and I think that they did a great job with how they organized it. It gave background information about the family and really showed all the characters personalities. The homey and relatable feels of the sets were also constructed very well; for example, Lara Jean was cleaning up her room in a scene of the movie. It makes it feel realistic and relatable to most American teens. The actors are also really into their characters. They really made it feel as if they're in high school too, going through what actual high schoolers go through. Furthermore, they couldn't have picked better actors to play these roles or create a better set.

To conclude ¨To all the boys I have Loved before¨ is a great movie. It had outstanding reviews and positive feedback. It scored an overall 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and a ⅘ on Vox. This movie does a spectacular job displaying a high school teen romance. Showing that anyone can find love, even at a young age. Despite the embarrassing circumstances this all benefited Lara Jean. She broke down her walls, did things in high school she never thought she would do, all while finding love at the same time. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves romantic comedies and teen romances.
