If you can't understand a film then the film automatically sucks right? Wrong! We as humans are always curious about what we see. We either question it, study it, or find more details that can help us understand. Once we find the answer, we can have a clarity for what we were looking for. The movie Inception is no different. Inception is a science fiction and thriller film where characters can go inside a dream and either gather information from the person's dream or put an idea into that person's mind. With that in mind, Inception is a great film to watch as it takes a hard and complex concept into an action dream heist film.

Inception released on July 13th, 2010, and was directed by the all time best director, Christopher Nolan. In the beginning, or so we think, we see Cobb (Leonardo Dicaprio) wash up on the shore and get captured by guards to see the higher up. Then we are cut to another scene where Cobb and his partner Arthur ( Joseph Gordonlevitt) are on a mission to take an Idea/memory from Saito ( Ken Watanabe). Cobb and Arthur failed and got caught by Saito and now works for him. Saito makes a proposition to Cobb to go back to his family if he pulls through the mission. Cobb and Arthur have to build a team to go to a dream to put a memory into Fischer in order to get the job done ( Cillian Murphy).  However, throughout the movie a mysterious woman keeps popping into the dream interfering with the mission. This character is introduced to us as Cobb's old wife, Mal (Marion Cotillard). Cobb has to go through the trauma that Mal is no longer in his world as she had died mistaking her life as part of the dream still. At the end, Cobb faces the fact that Mal is no longer alive and he must focus on the mission to get back to his kids.

Cobb, played by Leonardo Dicaprio, is an interesting character as throughout the film he seems secretive about his motives. During the 2nd act, Cobb had to recruit members to pull off a job and one of the members doesn´t trust cobb. Cobb tries to hide things from the crew or not tell the whole truth eventually leads the crew into danger. Near the end, Leonardo Dicaprio captures the moment as Cobb so well into realizing he has to pick his life in the real world or the world he wants in the dream world.

Inception is a film to enjoy many times. As you re-watch the film you learn more things than the first time you watch. With many great plotlines, character development, and mystery this film will make you question if your still dreaming or are you awake in our world.

The movie Inception is mind blowing of how dreams can be our 2nd reality and how it can hurt others or keeps us alive.
