Flowers in the Attic is no ordinary suspense film. It is one of those movies that has you on edge and the ending you just can’t get over. Through out the whole movie you just keep repeating “Oh my god, Are you serious?”

After the death of their father 4 kids and their mother (Corrine) are forced to move with their grandmother and grandfather. Corrine and her mother do not get along very well. Corrine hasn’t even told her dad she has 4 kids yet. Wonder why? You wouldn’t believe it if I told you. He still doesn’t know even though they are living in the attic of his house!

While the kids are locked up in the attic for years, the mother goes and makes a new life. She promises the kids that she will finally tell their dad about them but it will take only a few months. She comes and visits the kids in the attic every day for the first month or so. Then it becomes weeks, months, and years that she hasn’t went to visit them. As the kids get older (Cathy and Chris) turn into teenagers. The grandmother starts to tell them "Don’t be anything like your mother” and the kids keep wondering why she keeps saying this. Cathy and Chris start to realize there body's are changing and they start to become too close.

The kids become sick, the younger brother (Cory) is the sickest out of all of them. Cathy insists her mother takes Cory to a hospital. The next day, Corrine tells them Cory had pneumonia and has died. This wasn’t any coincidence, either. The kids finally become so fed up with having to stay locked in the attack they start to come up with plans of how they are going to break out the attic and explore the house. While in the mist of exploring the house, Chris starts to realize what is really going on. So he and Cathy come up with new plans on how they are going to escape, and leave forever!

I recommend Flowers in the Attic to anyone who loves suspense movies that keep you on edge during the whole movie. This movie is definitely one that stays on track and will have you begging for a second one.
