La La Land
In this rollercoaster of nostalgia, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling drive a plot as old as time. A tale of conflicting passions, "La La Land" is the most up-to-date movie I've seen so far that accurately depicts one's struggles between love and ambition. The movie with great star power captures the golden age of Hollywood on screen and drives it into the heart of viewers.
To add on their emotional driven piece, the musicians of "La La Land" include music that does not complement the story but rather music that is ingrained in parts of the story. The music encompasses the real tension in “La La Land” that of ambition and love, and perhaps greatest of all, shows that music is more than just music, but rather an art of communication. But most beautiful of all, "La La Land," reveals that the ultimate form of love is that of letting it go.
